Queanbeyan turned up to play in the round 13 NEAFL Eastern Conference game against a lacklustre Ainslie team. Queanbeyan led from the beginning and were never challenged by Ainslie. The first quarter was competitive with Queanbeyan kicking with the advantage of the wind but Ainslie missed opportunities to trail at quarter time by 13 points.
In the second quarter Queanbeyan turned up the heat and used their speed to break open Ainslie. A couple of late goals before the long break kept Ainslie in the game. A half time spray from the coach couldn't ignite Ainslie as Queanbeyan kicked 5 goals to 1. The last quarter was more competitive with Ainslie breaking even but still lost by 47 points. Ainslie will need to lift next Saturday as they play Sydney Hills in Sydney.

The Division 1 team had a good win over Queanbeyan. It was a close contest after Ainslie dominated the first quarter and Queanbeyan the second with only 6 points separating the teams at half time. Ainslie opened up a 4 goal lead at three quarter time but Queanbeyan were coming home with the wind in the last quarter. In a tense struggle Queanbeyan closed the gap but Ainslie were able to hang on with some good defence to win by 11 points.
