Results of all Ainslie games for weekend of June 2/3.

The NEAFL round 10 game between Ainslie and Queanbeyan at Dairy Farmers Park was a tough, physical encounter and in the end Ainslie fell short by 17 points.  Ainslie started the game full of running and held an 11 point advantage at quarter time. Queanbeyan got on top in the midfield in the 2nd quarter and kicked 6 goals to 2 to have an 11 point lead at half time.

Early in the third term Ainslie had most of the play but couldn't take advantage by failing to convert their opportunities. Midway through the term Queanbeyan found some run down back and through the centre to open up the play and kick some quick goals to finish off the quarter. Queanbeyan led by 34 points at three quarter time.  Coach Chris Rourke moved some players around and to Ainslie's credit they fought back hard in the last quarter to narrow the margin to 10 points late in the quarter. A final goal to Queanbeyan ended the comeback and the Tigers won by 17 points.

Down forward Simon Horner, Nick Paine and Josh Bennett provided targets. In defence Dale Walker was again good and well supported by Rob Tuohey while Rowan Andrews battled hard in the ruck.

Will Griggs of Queanbeyan was awarded the Muir medal.

The Division 1 team battled hard for three quarters but fell away in the last quarter to be beaten by Queanbeyan by 46 points.

The U18s had a victory over Gungahlin at Amaroo by 32 points.

Final score: Ainslie 13.12-90 def Gungahlin 9.4-58

The Division 2 team came up against a strong ADFA team at Ainslie Oval in cold and wet conditions and went down by 110 points.

Final score: Ainslie 3.2-20 def by ADFA 20.10-130

The Division 3s had a close game against Yass but went down by 11 points.

Final score: Ainslie 8.9-57 def by Yass 10.8-68

The Women had a strong win over ADFA by 92 points.
